...and become wise. - Proverbs 13:20

Knowledge is good, but a vast difference stands between "knowledge" (having the facts) and "wisdom" (applying those facts to life). Without wisdom our knowledge is useless. As moms, it can feel overwhelming with the amount of information at our fingertips, much more than ever before in history. If your baby has a weird rash, "Google it." I'm sure you can have a pretty accurate diagnosis within 3 minutes. Dealing with extreme temper tantrums? There are probably no less than 100 books on the topic that you could order from Amazon. Not to mention the million blog posts, just like this one, written by other seasoned moms. On and on I could go. They say knowledge is power, but unfortunately if you do not know how to wield that power, it can leave you feeling overwhelmed and utterly exhausted.
As we find ourselves in the throes of Summer (at least us in the Southeastern part of the United States) or at least close for the rest of you. It can get a little challenging balancing coordinating all the Summertime activities for your kiddos and finding time to spend in God's word. If your family is like ours, you have different weeks of camps along with VBS already on the calendar. Sprinkle in some sleepovers and other playdates, beach days, and other adventures, Summer will be over before we know it. And while all those things are good, for the busy on-the-go mom, don't forget to spend time watering your soul this Summer. You will be good for no one if you are withered and drained.

That being said, a good friend of mine and I put together this beautiful (very simple) Proverbs study; 6-week Bible study going through some topics in the Proverbs, geared towards moms. We, ourselves, have gathered a small group of other mamas and plan to meet once a week for the Summer to go over the study and spend time fellowshipping with other Christian mamas. It can be easy to let the kids' schedules take over your Summer, but I feel it is worth pressing the importance of you finding time for a couple of hours each week to spend with other mamas. You need it. You were created for relationship and community. We are better together.
My prayer for you this Summer, mama, is that you will find time to rest in God's presence. Even in the midst of longer days, water balloon fights, and Ubering your kiddos to and fro. Make time in God's word a priority and make time with other believers a priority.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
Mama, don't let the Summer drain you. This study was designed with you in mind. We want you to feel ready to take on each day and feel equipped to help raise wise children. One of my favorite parts included is the weekly activities to get the kids and the whole family involved. Such a fun and practical way to bring some of these lessons to life, even with young kiddos.
Our hope is that this study brings you and other women together, helps you feel encouraged, and draws you closer to who God has created you to be - a wise mama raising wise children. Get your copy today and start your journey towards wisdom and growth.
Also, don't forget to share with your friends!
Praying you have the most blessed Summer, sweet mama. Love you!
